Bay Area Ridge Trail Temporarily Closed to Dogs: Coyote Pupping Season Update
Dogs are not allowed on the Goldsworthy in the Presidio Guided Art Hike during the temporary trail closure. To reduce the potential for coyote/dog conflict, we’ve proactively closed a large section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail (near the Spire) to dogs – see the map on our coyote webpage.
The Presidio is home to the largest collection of Andy Goldsworthy art on public view in North America.
This guided hike visits the park’s four installations by the world-renowned artist: Spire (2008), Wood Line (2010/2011), Tree Fall (2013), and Earth Wall (2014). This three-mile hike is moderate with a few uphill stretches and surfaces that include sand and rocky areas. Rain or shine. Registration is required.
This event occurs every second Saturday of the month. Additional dates will be added periodically.
