Join Homeroom’s for Gluten-Free Gluttony: a night of gluten-free eats supporting local women-owned businesses!
Homeroom will be serving up mac+cheese, drinks, and desserts, but with a unique twist: all the special options for this party are gluten-free.
While the regular glutenous menu, including beer, will still be available, the restaurant is offering a prix-fixe Gluten-Free Gluttony meal for $22. It includes:
-Gluten-free Gilroy Garlic or White Cheddar mac+cheese with an add-in
-Gluten-free brownie
-a local craft cider
-and a raffle ticket to win great swag from the businesses represented!
West-Oakland-based Crooked City Cider is taking over the taps for the evening, with four ciders (including a hopped selection, for beer-lovers); owner Dana Bushouse will be on hand to answer questions and talk cider.
Edison Grainery will provide organic quinoa-rice pasta for the mac+cheese, and representatives will be around to talk about gluten-free food and sustainable business: the company, run by a mother-daughter team in Oakland, sources pasta from a women-owned cooperative in Bolivia.
