“Humans are divided between those who can still look through the eyes of youth and those who cannot.” ? Dave Eggers, "What Is the What"
The World Affairs’ Education Program is proud to present the 2017 Student Ambassador Global Issues Night.
Join World Affairs to celebrate our student ambassadors as they present the global issue projects they have worked on throughout the year. Enjoy presentations on water issues in China, economic empowerment for women in Mongolia, girls’ education in South Sudan, the effects of militarization on civilians living in the Middle East, and the treatment of East Asian refugees. Student presentations will provide background information on these topics and make suggestions for how people in the Bay Area can address these global concerns.
Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
*Ticket sales end at 4 pm but walk-ins at the door are welcome.
