Over the past 50 years, Rev. Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, GLIDE’s Co-founders, have shown first-hand that LOVE always triumphs. These are times when it is especially important to affirm that LOVE overcomes divisiveness, and brings people together. GLIDE believes in breaking down the barriers between all diverse communities and is more determined than ever to press onward with hope and love. The evening will also pay tribute to Amy Errett who recently stepped down after 22 years as Chairperson of GLIDE’s Board of Trustees and introduce GLIDE’s new President & CEO Karen Hanrahan and new Lead Pastor Rev. “GLIDE has celebrated unconditional love and acceptance for over 50 years,” said GLIDE Co-founder and Minister of Liberation Reverend Cecil Williams. “And we are not quitting now.”
“Now, more than ever, is a time to celebrate each other and bridge our differences with compassion and understanding,” said GLIDE Co-founder Janice Mirikitani.
