As a Glide congregational member, we must develop bold acts of agency against systematic racism and bigotry. As a result of open dialogue with our congregational body, we can deepen relationships and understandings across racial lines that will positively effect Glide’s future actions.
It is imperative that we seize opportunities to enhance our own personal and professional growth in the midst of such social unrest. This is unique event brings our congregation together to solidify our core values of radical love and acceptance.
We know that ongoing Equity and Social Justice work require that we focus on three areas:
Internal, personal discovery
Interpersonal relationships
Institutional transformation
Inclusive Conversations About Race is a seminar designed specifically for our beloved community. It is a highly interactive, immersive workshop that provides a safe space to explore interpersonal ideas on race, how these ideas play out in our view of the our work, our world, our relationships, our institutions and the actions we may take in standing up for justice, equity, peace, nonviolence, and acceptance of all people.
