Glass Hand Studio will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, December 2nd 1p-6p. Come watch live demos, try your hand at glassblowing, and browse hand-blown glass gifts.
Glass Hand is a public access hot glass studio in Alameda. We offer one-on-one personalized classes for individuals and groups interested in an introduction to glass or intensive courses of instruction. The studio is also available as a rental facility for the accomplished glass blower.
Our vibrant community consists of people that have developed a passion for glassblowing. They can be found here at Glass Hand Studio six days a week, practicing their craft in their spare time. Some make glassware for sale, some make sculpture that incorporates hot glass, and some come in just to work with the material and improve their skills.
On Saturday, December 2nd from 1pm-6pm, the studio is hosting an Open House. Members of our community will be demonstrating their skills throughout the afternoon. We will be looking for volunteers from the audience to help, so the adventurous will have opportunities to handle hot glass themselves.
Lessons will be offered at a special rate for those who sign up during the open house.
We will also have many hand-blown glass pieces created by our artists on display and for sale.
