SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Rithm School (see times)
WHAT IS PYTHON:
Python is a general-purpose language, which means it can be used to build just about anything, which will be made easy with the right tools/libraries. Professionally, Python is great for backend web development, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and scientific computing. Many developers have also used Python to build productivity tools, games, and desktop apps.
ABOUT THE BOOTCAMP:
In this workshop, we'll be walking through Python Fundamentals including data types, boolean logic, functions and web scraping. We'll learn what the Python language can be used for and how to get started working with it. This class is for you if you're a complete beginner - there are no prerequisites.

REQUIRED MATERIALS:
1. Laptop
2. Python 3 installed (which can be downloaded from https://www.python.org/).

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Elie Schoppik is the co-founder and lead instructor at Rithm School. Before founding Rithm school, he was a Lead Instructor at Galvanize and General Assembly. Over the course of the last 2 years, he has helped support hundreds of students through full-time immersive programs. He's passionate about writing curriculum and teaching through examples to make complex concepts easily accessible.
