Description

Design to FlyAge: Brownies
When it comes to flight, the wing is the thing. In this program, girls play the part of both designer and engineer, as they experiment with the right way to make a plane soar. Using Adobe Illustrator, girls will design their idea for an airplane wing, which we’ll bring to life using our laser cutter. Then, it’s time to take flight! Girls will place their wings on a plane body, trying out different positions to get the right one and observing the effects of the added weight. Through creative problem-solving and trial and error, they’ll figure out how to best make their plane glide through the air! At the end of the day, they’ll take home their plane as a reminder of their hard work.
