Winemaker and Bonny Doon founder Randall Grahm was instrumental in popularizing Rhône grapes in California beginning with his inaugural 1984 vintage of Le Cigare Volant, an homage to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Since then, Grahm has continued to innovate – successfully working with cryo-extraction for dessert wines, being the first to utilize microbullage in California, the first to popularize screwcaps for premium wines, and the first to embrace true transparency in labeling with an ingredient labeling initiative. Since selling off some of the winery’s larger brands in 2010, Grahm’s focus has been on making wines with a much lighter touch, using indigenous yeast whenever possible. For more information visit

Overseeing Gather’s wine program are Jacob Kardon and Daniel Sheel who has Level One Court of Master Sommelier certification. Together they focus on small producers utilizing sustainable techniques.
