Oct 4 & 5 at 7:30pm
Join Bay Area twins Aviva & Molly Rose-Williams for the world premiere of Game Time, a new dance-circus show for audiences of all ages. The show is the second full-length production from the award-winning Rose-Williams sisters. In Game Time, the twins build on their signature mix of muscularly intricate physicality, absurdist humor, and keenly observed relational dynamics to explore the world of high-level sports.
At the center of it all is the Chinese pole, a 20-foot rubber-coated pole on which the twins do flips, drops, handstands, and partner acrobatics. With words and movement, the show explores the intricacies of-and sometimes fine line between-collaboration and competition, the imposter syndrome, loss, and the drive to win. Ultimately, Game Time takes on larger cultural narratives around who and what matters in the games we all play.
This is a family-friendly show with something for everyone! Join the artists for a special talk-back discussion after the Friday evening show.
$18-50 (NOTA).
Presented by Split Second.
