Susan will present a lively program titled, From Mauve to Mumbai: the recent history of color in textiles. This program traces the discovery of the first synthetic color and then looks at the development of dyeing in the late 19th through the 21st century.
Susan will add a touch of science, serendipity, money, war, fashion and technology into the discussion. The program will be followed by a book-signing and reception.
