We’ll work in both supported and unsupported poses to release restricting tightness and find how to extend, rotate, open more effectively in various categories of asanas. As surrounding structures – the shoulders, arms ribs, other parts of the spine– all have direct effect on the relative ease or restriction one experiences in the upper back, we’ll explore how to work with these interconnections. Attention will be paid to the breath to increase space in the joints and muscles and bring a sense of receptive awareness in our practice.
