A FREE Youth Chess Tournament hosted by Bright Knights Chess Club.
In preparation for the 2018 San Francisco Scholastic Chess Championship & National Events, the Bright Knights Chess Club host its 3rd free youth chess tournament for the year.

Tournament is only open to youth, ages 5-18 years old.
TOURNAMENT SECTIONS
Intermediate/Novice Section – Open to youths of all skill levels, no USCF membership required. A clock may or not be assigned at your table. Clock time is Game in 20 minutes; each player has 20 minutes per round on their chess clock if notating.
Beginner Section – For new chess players who just learned to play chess.
TOURNAMENT RULES AND STRUCTURE
Standard US Chess Federation Rules are followed
4 Non-Elimination Rounds – No player gets eliminated, all players will get to play all 4 rounds
Playoff – 5 minute speed chess playoff may be assigned in the event of a tie breaker
AWARDS & PRIZES
Trophies or Medals to the top players of each section
Chess Pins to all participants who complete all 4 rounds
