August 9-August 24, 2014 - Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 4:00pm
For the 32nd season of Free Shakespeare in the Park the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival presents 'The Taming of the Shrew', featuring plenty of Shakespearean twists, hilarious clowns and ridiculous disguises, along with a subversive and challenging love story.
Is it a feminist rallying cry, a sexist throwback, or maybe, like most things in Shakespeare, a bit of both? Audience members of all ages will enjoy the outrageous clowning, witty wordplay, and crazy plot twists as Kate and Petruccio negotiate their surprisingly modern relationship. Who is the bigger Shrew? You decide!
Performances are preceded by a short Green Show, starting at 7:00 pm, that's fun and engaging for all ages!
