Get answers to your questions about applying for the Foothill College respiratory therapy program by attending a free application workshop Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 5 p.m. in Room 5307. This popular two-year program has a selective admission process, so it’s smart to plan ahead, complete prerequisites, and understand the type of information to include on the application. Admission is free; parking is $3.
The deadline to submit the completed application is May 30. Workshop participants should print out the 2015 Respiratory Therapy Program Application Form, which is available online at
https://www.foothill.edu/bio/programs/respther/app.php. Bring pen and paper, as well as college grade transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable for the workshop).
Foothill’s two-year respiratory therapy program can prepare you for employment in the exciting high-tech health care field of respiratory care. Respiratory therapists manage the ventilation of critically ill patients, as well as provide acute and chronic care to patients with pulmonary disease. Most work is performed in the hospital environment. Program graduates are allowed to take all national board exams. The program results in an associate in science degree. It also offers continuing education units for practicing respiratory therapists.
