The Billy DeFrank LGBT Community Center Library proudly salutes our latest Featured Author, Christopher Isherwood. This literary pioneer wrote bravely about being queer in a time when such behavior was regarded as the love that dare not speak its name. We kick off our tribute to Isherwood with a showing of Tom Fords’ dazzling film version of A Single Man on Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 pm. Starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore in Oscar-worthy performances, the film covers a day in the life of an extraordinary individual.
Our book club will discuss the original novel A Single Man on Thursday, August 22nd at 7:00 pm.
