FREE Meditation Classes for Young Professionals with Discussions
Classes are held every Wednesday from 7-8pm.
The first 3 classes are an Introduction to Meditation and Buddhism. In these classes you will learn everything you need to know to create your own meditation practice. After the first 3 classes, we will explore topics in Beginning Meditation and Buddhism for those who want a more in depth discovery of how to apply meditation, mindfulness and Buddhism in our busy, western lifestyle.
The goal is to leave you with more freedom, personal power, success... and fun!
WHO WE ARE, SF AWAKENED MIND - AN URBAN BUDDHIST SANGHA
For 17 years, SF Awakened Mind has focused on expanding consciousness through meditation, mindfulness and personal empowerment. Founded in 2000, our practice is rooted in Indo-Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism. Although we integrate the core ancient teachings of several Buddhist traditions, it is designed to be practical for people practicing in the modern, western world. We focus on applying the balance and clarity achieved in meditation to all areas of life including career success, personal empowerment and vitality. Our community seeks to uplift and reveal the truth in all beings by going beyond limitations. We practice mind-body spiritual connection, creating gender balance, and women's empowerment through career advancement.
