Fourth Street, an urban shopping and dining destination in Berkeley, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony and community gathering on Saturday, September 8 at 11 a.m. to mark the unveiling of the reimagined Maker’s Row. The new Maker’s Row offers an improved space for locally-based makers to thoughtfully display their products and better engage with the community. The community is invited to the family-friendly celebration to mark the re-opening of Maker’s Row with an opportunity to engage with local designers and artisans and enjoy a special performance by the Berkeley High School jazz band.
Artisan jewelry maker, Lina Shatara of Lina Shatara Designs, proudly manages Maker’s Row, which features a rotating array of eight artists on any given day. Shatara brings together makers to the Fourth Street Shopping district for a unique and local selling experience. Craft product will include jewelry, apparel, home goods, handbags, art, beauty products, and more. Artisans on-hand for this weekend’s unveiling event at Maker’s Row will include:
• Ostri Studio – Handmade card wallets
• Wild East Imports – Imported clothing and textiles
• Apt3 – Handmade and reclaimed wood accents
• Four Paws Leathers – Recycled pet clothing and accessories
• Eden And Zoe – Stylish clothing for children
• Bebonia Creations – Healing stone jewelry
• Farm Fresh to You – Certified organic produce and farm products
