Join California State Parks and MendoParks around the campfire at Van Damme State Park to celebrate California State Parks Week 2025! Climb to the canopy of the tallest forest in the world and then take a dive into an underwater forest and explore how Van Damme's two giant forests support climate resilience during this special evening campfire program.
PARKING: There is no parking at the Campfire Center. Event starts at 7:30pm. Campers should plan to walk no more than ½ mile to the Campfire Center or be dropped off by a family member/friend. Non-campers should plan to carpool due to extremely limited parking within the park. Limited parking can be found at the Visitor Center and at the Fern Canyon Trailhead. Non-campers may walk along the road to the campfire center from these two designated parking areas. Please do not park outside of designated parking spots.
