Foreign Cinema, the venerable Mission district restaurant, will celebrate its 18th anniversary with Venetian Carnival-themed bash on Thursday, September 28 from 7-11pm.
Known for throwing extravagant and enlightening parties with a spirit of giving, co-owners/co-executive chefs Gayle Pirie and John Clark are donating the proceeds from ticket sales to the Human Rights Campaign, which advocates on behalf of the LGBTQ community.
Guests will enjoy plentiful bites from Foreign Cinema—Venetian street bites, piazza-style food stations with wine + special cocktails. Lavish decor by Gregangelo & Velocity Circus will set the stage for burlesque shows + entertainment by the world-renowned Heklina and performers from Mother who will take over the restaurant and court yard for what will surely be an unforgettable evening!
This party comes at a time when Gayle and John are looking toward opening their third space on Mission Street, an upcoming wine bar in the space next to Foreign Cinema.
