Food Stories: From Burma to the Bay is the annual fundraising event for the IRC in Northern California, organized and hosted by the local chapter of GenR. For the fourth year, the IRC will celebrate the global cuisines IRC clients bring to our neighborhoods with appetizers made by local chefs. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the IRC in Northern California, and a photo exhibit will honor this history by showcasing the stories local refugees we have served since 1975.
• Chefs will prepare appetizers inspired by the home countries of IRC clients
• DJ will provide a soundtrack for guests as they sample the various bites
• A photo exhibit will honor our 40 year history in Northern California by showcasing a selection of individuals served since 1975
• A fund a need auction will be held to further support the IRC and its beneficiaries.
• A short program highlighting the plight of the refugees and the work of IRC in the Northern California region
