In honor of Fire Prevention Month, First Alert, the most trusted name in fire safety*, is teaming up with Lowe's stores and fire departments nationwide to host educational events that focus on protecting families and homes from the threats of fire and carbon monoxide (CO). Vacaville residents are invited to participate in a special safety event, which will include the Vacaville Fire Department, on October 9 at the 1751 East Monte Vista Ave Lowe's location.
Throughout the day, the Lowe's located on East Monte Vista Ave will be hosting fun, family-focused activities to teach the community about equipping their homes with smoke and CO alarms, as well as planning and practicing a fire escape plan. Children will have the opportunity to build a wooden fire truck in a one-time kids' workshop and will receive firefighter hats and coloring books. To further educate the public, select local fire departments will be onsite at the stores to encourage whole home safety in their local communities. Additionally, smoke and CO alarms will be on display and educational materials from First Alert will be available while supplies last.
