In this daylong retreat we will focus on ways to bring a light heart and clear mind to our recovery program. We will explore ways to cultivate joy using traditional Buddhist mindfulness teachings, 12 Step teachings, and contemporary practices for increasing happiness and contentment.
The day will include: Silent meditation for developing calm and insight; interactive exercises to uncover blocks to happiness and reveal tools for uplifting our hearts; lecture and discussion.
Teacher: Kevin Griffin has been practicing Buddhist meditation for over thirty years and has been in recovery since 1985. He is the author of two acclaimed books on Buddhism and recovery, "One Breath at a Time" and "A Burning Desire."
