When COVID-19 hit, Valerie Tulier-Laiwa knew her neighborhood would be greatly affected. With the help of several childhood friends, she jumped into action to meet the needs of the Latino community and beyond. Her personal story isn't just what brought her here, it's what keeps her going.

The film is a collaboration with Mission Local, Still I Rise Films, Lydia Chavez, featuring the work of the Latino Task Force. Filmed and edited by Helene Goupil, Illustrations by Molley Olson, music by Javi Jimenez and sound mix by Lemon DeGeorge.
