Film Nights @ Nexus: The Shape of Water(melon)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at The Nexus Center (see times)
Join us for the next edition of our film + cuddles series, featuring Guillermo del Toro's latest film "The Shape of Water".

We'll have a screening room, lots of watermelon, and other refreshments for guests. We have plenty of blankets and squish but feel free to bring more pillows and your onesies! Tickets are limited to 25 people.

This event is intended to be a safe space for platonic touch, an opportunity to come together with friends and watch heartwarming films while snuggled up in a cozy room full of fluff. We are creating a loving, inclusive atmosphere where all should feel welcome and have their boundaries respected. To encourage this environment, we ask that you follow this code of conduct:

Respect people's boundaries. Ask for enthusiastic consent before engaging in any physical touch. Be respectful when saying "no", be respectful when hearing "no".
Absolutely no play/intimate touching. We want people to feel comfortable receiving platonic touch without any questioning or expectation that it couldturn into more. There are plenty of other events to meet people for those activities, so we kindly ask that you keep this a safe space and only engage in platonic behavior.

No shoes/food/drinks in the cuddle room

Schedule: Doors @ 7:30pm; Film Screening 8-10pm

Film Summary: "From master story teller, Guillermo del Toro, comes THE SHAPE OF WATER - an other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War-era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. Elisa's life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Rounding out the cast are Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Doug Jones and Michael Stuhlbarg."
