Lyrical Opposition will be having their first official Lyrical Assembly gathering, as they host artist, rapper, poet, writer and blues player, Micah Bournes from Long Beach, CA.
Fight Evil With Poetry's aim is to intentionally empower diverse groups of creatives to combat the forces of injustice in this world with their unique creative gifts.
Join us for an evening of positivity, diversity and empowerment in bringing artist communities and enthusiasts of the Bay Area together, breaking down neighborhood and cultural barriers with music and poetry as a universal language.

Micah Bournes is poet and musician from Long Beach, CA. He is convinced that disciplined creativity is more powerful than forces of destruction. He is determined to fight evil with poetry as well as help other's discover and grow their own creative gifts so they can do the same!

Lyrical Assembly is an inclusive community that consists of socially-conscious, faith-based lyrical artists, contemplative activists, arts administrators, and enthusiasts that value the integration of faith, creativity and activism.
Based in Bay Area, CA, Lyrical Assembly creates safe platforms that foster lyrical expression for hip-hop artists, spoken word poets, and other artistic talents through gatherings, icebreakers, freestyles, cyphers, artist development workshops, panel discussions, trainings and fellowships.
