Fern Alley (technically Fern Street and originally Fern Avenue) was built in the early 1900's after the great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. Nestled between VanNess Avenue and Polk Street, the 100 block of Fern is always a sight to behold.
Its transformation from a drug infested alley into a place where people enjoy hanging out is still a work in progress.
