Feenixpawl is Aden Forte and Josh Soon, a DJ/Production duo hailing from Melbourne, Australia, but now calling LA home. After years of playing the local scene around the country, they rose to international prominence in 2012 with their smash hit “In My Mind”, collaborating with Australian dance legend Ivan Gough and vocalist by Georgi Kay. The track was signed to Axtone Records and shot straight to number one on the Beatport charts. "In My Mind" was also chosen to be Pete Tong’s essential new tune and was consistently rated as one of the top dance tracks of 2012. It sat at number one on the ARIA Club Charts for a record 12 weeks and led to a win for Best Dance Release at the 2012 ARIA Awards, as well as a Grammy nomination.
Following this success, Feenixpawl have gone on to remix artists such as Kaskade, Adrian Lux, Cash Cash, Strange Talk, Marco V & John Dahlback. Their bootlegs for Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” and Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” garnered huge international support from the likes of Kaskade and Hardwell.
Their follow up single “Universe” was released through Neon Records towards the end of 2012 with a huge remix from Spanish star David Tort, and was again exclusively previewed on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection. It has been supported by Tiesto, Thomas Gold, Afrojack, Fedde Le Grand, Gregori Klosman, Deniz Koyu and many more. In 2013, the duo teamed up with Aden’s brother, Jason Forte, as well as Marco V, to bring out the club banger “Together”. Which has been heavily supported by Danny Avila, Audien, Carnage, Deniz Koyu, Glow In The Dark and Blasterjaxx to name a few.
So far in 2014 they have collaborated with San Francisco native, Trevor Simpson, to release “I Won’t Break”, and teamed back up with with Ivan Gough for “Hear Me”, both released on Neon Records. Both tracks have received a bunch of international support, with “I Won’t Break” becoming a regular fixture on US radio.
