Stanford University Professor Gordon H. Chang, Ph.D will be doing a book talk and Q&A for his new book "Fateful Ties: A History of America's Preoccupation with China," Saturday 6/20 from 1-2:30pm. "Fateful Ties" demonstrates how ideas about China have long been embedded in America's conception of itself and its own fate. Drawing on literature, art, biography, popular culture and politics, the book traces America's preoccupation with China.
