SEE EVENT DETAILS
Don't miss this spectacular fashion show event! On Sunday, March 27th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Work that Catwalk Productions will host an afternoon of fashion, music and food - all to benefit children, teens and adults with disabilities! Hosted by Monique Zhang, and co-chaired by California State Treasurer Fiona Ma and Osha Thai owner, Kitty Saichau.

Monique Zhang, creator of Work that Catwalk, is one of San Francisco Bay Area most noted Asian fashion producers. Monique is credited with putting local fashion on an international platform. With food graciously provided by Osha Thai Restaurant Group, the show will take place at the International Art Museum of America (IAMA) in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Asian Brothers Brewing Company will provide premium South East Asia beer tastings from Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Tickets include access to the show, unlimited food and beverages and an opportunity to bid on an array of items at the silent auction.

Proceeds will benefit the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center, a San Francisco nonprofit that supports children, teens and adults with disabilities and provides them with educational, recreational and vocational opportunities.

Schedule

12:00 pm: VIP Ticket Holders Museum Tour and Reception

1:00 pm - Complimentary reception with gourmet dishes by Osha Thai, and beer tasting from Asian Brothers Brewing, hosted in the International Art Museum's gorgeous Versailles-style atrium. Opportunity to view and purchase silent auction items.

2:00 pm - Opening flute, drum and dancer performances. Fashion showcase featuring a variety of fashion pieces from Asian designers.

3:00 pm - After show party: featuring live DJ and South East (Balinese, Burmese and Thai) cultural dance.

The Pomeroy Center is a San Francisco not-for-profit community center providing accessible facilities to those with developmental disabilities and traumatic and acquired brain injuries, including adults, children, teens, and seniors.

The Center's programming allows individuals to select from a variety of activities and opportunities that include expressive arts, adaptive computer lab, health and wellness activities and accredited vocational training services on and off site, all with support from dedicated and skilled staff. Volunteers and interns offer additional support throughout the year. These activities provide numerous benefits; an awareness of healthy lifestyles, increased self esteem, independence, learning, friendships, creativity and pure enjoyment.

Facilities are available to the public, including a warm water therapy pool, gymnasium, event center with theater and stage, and outdoor BBQ and amphitheater - all available by reservation for reasonable fees.

In 2015, Monique Zhang created the open-hearted project Work that Catwalk to teach musical runway to special needs participants at the Pomeroy Center. This show as since evolved into the San Francisco Bay Area's premier Asian Fashion gala as well as Pomeroy's annual charity fashion show. Monique's goal is to continue to raise awareness and support the Pomeroy Center, its participants and the greater community.
