Family Economic Success through Education: Access and Equality in the Changing San Francisco Landscape
What is Family Economic Success (FES)?Family Economic Success (FES) is the ability of families to secure the financial resources to meet their needs and achieve their goals for themselves and for their children within one or two generations.
The SFFSN Family Economic Success Policy Platform includes strategies in the following focus areas: 1.) Helping families make ends meet 2.) Supporting families to build and protect assets 3.) Increasing families’ incomes 4.) Promoting educational opportunities for families 5.) Increasing the coordination and quality of Family Economic Success efforts. This year, the FES Forum will focus on educational opportunities for families across multiple contexts. This is a required event for FES Site Certification and renewal.
Forum DescriptionThis year’s forum is titled FES: Access and Equity in the Changing San Francisco Landscape. A panel of experts will lead a conversation about how programs and services have changed within the following areas: financial empowerment, education, and employment. We will examine community efforts working together to remove barriers for families working towards financial stability. Also, we will learn about community resources available to meet basic family needs and aspirations.
The forum is an excellent opportunity for you to share your resources, learn about other programs, and meet other professionals in the family support field!
