Fall Farm Dinner

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Natural Bridges Farm (see times)
It can make us sick or make us well, create jobs and a thriving local economy or concentrate wealth in corporate America, work in harmony with the environment or pollute our water and our land--any way you look at it, food is central to culture and the health of our communities. Homeless Garden Project's Fall Farm Supper aims to celebrate the many businesses and nonprofit organizations that realize the importance of engaging our current food systems in creating a healthy, thriving community and work force.

The dinner will celebrate six businesses and two non-profit organizations as the very best examples of our vibrant local food movement here on the Central Coast. The evening will also include a panel discussion, "Food, Community, and the Health of the Central Coast" featuring the local heroes and moderated by Jason Scorse, Program Chair of the International Environmental Policy program at Monterey Institute of International Studies and Director of the Center for Blue Economy.
The evening will also include live music from Casey Frazier and the dinner will be cooked by four of our region's most celebrated chefs - all of whom are committed to cooking with sustainably produced, local ingredients in their own restaurants.

The chefs will be:
Kendra Baker, Penny Ice Creamery and the Picnic Basket
Brad Briske, La Balena
John Cox, Sierra Mar at Post Ranch Inn
Ted Walter, Passionfish

The 2013 winners of Edible Monterey Bay's Local Heroes include:
Kendra Baker, Co-owner of Penny Ice Creamery and the Picnic Basket
