Design Museum’s Extraordinary Playscapes is landing in San Francisco on April 6th!
This national exhibit has traveled from Boston to Portland and is arriving in SF this April. We are bringing the power of play to the city, including our exhibit home base in the San Francisco Public Library, our Playcubes installation at Civic Center Plaza, and a city-wide Playground Passport to guide your adventure out to play!
To kick off this season of play, join us the evening of April 6th and get your first look at one of our largest exhibitions to date, covering 40 case studies of exceptional play spaces, various interactive components, and a comprehensive history of play. You will hear from Design Museum’s Executive Director Sam Aquillano, SF Recreation and Parks Department General Manager Phil Ginsberg, and renowned playground architect Richard Dattner.
People of all ages are invited to join us for this hands-on exhibit featuring everything from playable elements to the history of the playground. Enjoy light appetizers, music, and more as you explore the importance, the science, and the design of Play.
