Explore Mode: Evening Photo Walk around SF & Happy Hour with The North Face

SEE EVENT DETAILS
About the event: The North Face is hosting an evening photo walk & happy hour at their San Francisco store, located at 180 Post Street. Led by two professional photographers, we'll teach you how to make the most of your DSLR camera and take great street photographs at night.
We will depart from The North Face SF store on foot around 6:30pm with cameras in hand. We'll first stroll around the Union Square area, stopping to photograph the Powell Street Cable Car and lights around Union Square. Then, we'll walk over to Chinatown, and capture the picturesque hanging lanterns and neon-lit shops. Finally, if time allows, we'll head to the Loews Regency Hotel, which offers some of the best views of the city from its 44th-floor skywalk. Once the photo walk is complete, we'll head back to The North Face store at 180 Post Street for a happy hour from 9-10pm with drinks on us.
Heads up: This photo walk will be cell phone free, and your phone will be securely locked but still in your possession in a Yondr case during the event. The idea behind this is to encourage you to get out and explore unplugged from the rest of the world, so to best focus on taking your best shots. The case will be unlocked once we return back to the store. Come unplug with us!

About the photographers in their own words:
Brian Fulda: I'm Brian, an outdoor, lifestyle, and travel photographer based in Alameda, California. I work full time for an imaging technology company, but also spend my free time photographing products and events for clients, with an emphasis on nature and night photography. Outside of my job and freelance work, I enjoy road tripping, hiking, camping, playing guitar, and photographing deep space objects through my telescope.
Ryan Tuttle: I’m Ryan - a commercial, editorial and music photographer from Monterey, California. My work allows me to travel often and is a direct reflection of the people, stories, and places that inspire me. When I’m not doing all things photo-related, I’m probably climbing, playing drums or guitar, or working on my tiny house.

What to bring:- DSLR camera (if possible, or your best camera other than your phone)- Camera bag/backpack- Water bottle- Light jacket (ideally with a hood in case it rains)- Tripod (if you have one)
