About the EventEWG's Annual Earth Dinner in San Francisco celebrates EWG's achievements in shaping environmental policy, protecting consumers against toxic exposures, and providing the information you need to protect your and your family's health.
This year marks a momentous milestone for EWG: We are celebrating our 25th anniversary and will be honoring EWG's more than two decades of fighting on the front lines for public and environmental health.
About the ProgramFor decades, the law did not require the chemical industry and manufacturers to prove chemicals used in commerce and released into the environment were safe. As a result, Americans of all ages have been exposed to an untold number of toxic chemicals.
This was the basis of EWG's iconic, groundbreaking presentation based on our landmark study that mapped pollution in people, starting at birth. The speech, "10 Americans," was first presented almost a decade ago. Although the law has since changed, recent actions demonstrate that the current administration is unlikely to safeguard the public from chemical exposures. That is why we need to use the power of personal agency to protect our health now more than ever.
This year, EWG has updated "10 Americans" with current, startling research. At the dinner, Ken Cook, EWG's president and co-founder, will unveil "10 Americans, 10 years later" - a revamp that charts the new landscape of environmentalism and paves the way for urgent, personal action for a healthier generation tomorrow.
Join us to raise funds for our groundbreaking research that empowers people to know their environment and protect their health.
