WHAT: A Valentine’s Trunk Show featuring jewelry from Takara and See Real Flowers. Takara will show samples and take orders for Neve, a new collection in 14k gold. See Real Flowers will sell items from her current collection. Light refreshments will be served.
Takara is a meditative process exploring sculptural design and primitive form. Each piece is designed to contain and capture narrative within it's shape. The artist behind Takara is Jen Goff, a West Coast native currently residing in Inverness, CA. Her travels have led her all across the world, where she has worked on farms and gardens, shot rolls of film, bypassed fancy education, studied medicinal herbs, walked hundreds of miles, sat silent in meditation and finally settled down to make jewelry. Jen's working process is intuitive and expresses a desire to connect beauty with everyday life through objects of personal adornment.
Elena Chien of See Real Flowers is a jewelry designer in Los Angeles. Taught at an early age to navigate the bustling marketplace by her Chinese grandfather, Elena is a collector and a treasure hunter. Traveling to markets around the world, she has accumulated beautiful collections of textiles, beads, talismans, and artifacts. These are both the inspiration and the materials for her jewelry line.
