Enrollment Fair

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Santa Cruz City Schools - Schools (see times)
These ESL classes are 'open entry' throughout the year, providing instruction in English speaking, reading, writing and listening for adults who range in ability from absolute non-speakers of English to those who are nearly fluent. Courses are designed to help students acquire the language skills needed to function more effectively in their daily lives and the workplace. Students are pre-tested to determine what level of class they should attend. Please allow 2-3 hours for testing. Concurrent students must get permission signed by high school counselor and meet with the Adult School advisor before registering.

Citizenship students will learn U.S. government, history and geography plus the 100 Questions and learn to read and write the sentences necessary for their Naturalization Interview. Students will practice the English necessary for their interview and also practice for the interview itself. There will be a fee of $15 to cover class material costs. In addition we have GED preparation, (in English and Spanish), Adult basic skills, Adult Independent Study for a high school diploma, ESL, Parent participation preschools, and parenting classes.
