In this class we begin with the physiologic foundations of the menstrual cycle; the introduction you should have received to your cycle & pelvic bowl. Through this hormonal dance we explore the more subtle & creative elements of the cycle; the emotional & energetic elements of the cycle. We work with the cycle as embodied cyclical wisdom, reflected in the phases of the moon & seasons of the earth. You will leave this class with a deeper understanding of your menstrual cycle, applicable tools for caring for your cyclical self & foundations for being in-power through your womb space & menstrual cycle.
With profound reverence Marissa is passionate about guiding people into deeper relationship with their bodies and specifically the womb/pelvic space as a place of wisdom & power. From a traditional midwifery framework of trusting the brilliance of the body, Marissa has been teaching about the Menstrual Cycle for years. Informed by her studies & experiences with midwifery, birth & postpartum work, holistic pelvic care, energy healing & yoga, she creates spaces that allow people to remember the beauty of being inside of a body.
Cyclical beings of all gender identities are welcome in this space. Though I think everyone can learn something from the menstrual cycle, those who do or have menstruated will get the most of this workshop. I do my best to keep cisnormative language out of the space, as i see the menstrual cycle as something beyond the gender binary.
