42nd Street Moon, the San Francisco theatre company dedicated to celebrating and preserving the art and spirit of the American Musical Theatre, presents a special two-night engagement celebrating one of Broadway, Hollywood, and Tin Pan Alley’s greatest songwriters: Frank Loesser. Starring Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show) with a special guest appearance by Jason Graae, ONCE IN LOVE WITH LOESSER plays 7pm, May 13 and May 14, 2013 at the Eureka Theatre, 215 Jackson St., San Francisco. Over his thirty-year career Frank Loesser wrote such musical standards as “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Let’s Get Lost,” “Heart and Soul,” and “On a Slow Boat to China.” He wrote both the music and lyrics to some of the most well-known musicals of all time, including Guys and Dolls and How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, winning Tony Awards for both shows (as well as the Pulitzer Prize for How to Succeed). He also received an Academy Award for "Baby, It's Cold Outside," and Tony nominations for Where’s Charley?, The Most Happy Fella, and Greenwillow.
