On January 16th, 1919, Congress passed the Eighteenth Amendment, outlawing alcohol and turning ELIXIR from a saloon into a "soft drink parlor" (he, he). On December 5th, 1933 that dark period ended when the amendment was repealed and the booze started flowing again!
Come celebrate the 85th anniversary of the first official "booze holiday" with us! Where better to celebrate a historic occasion than one of the most historic bars in California?
We'll be making some "Speakeasy Style" period cocktails with Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey, our private barrel of Elijah Craig bourbon, the newly relaunched Dubonnet and Sacred Bond Brandy!
AND THERE'S CHARITY: a portion of proceeds will be donated to StandForKindness.org to help victims of California's wildfires get their lives back.
And we'll have gifts for those who come in costume!!! Happy days are here again!
