The Science of Distilling or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Drink Thermodynamics
WHAT: An informational guided tasting of the core line of Griffo Distillery products lead by Founder and Head Distiller Michael Griffo
WHEN:  Thursday, September 7th, 8pm-9pm (Come to the bar early, have a beer and relax until we start. Michael's team will be pouring tastes and talking to the crowd.)

Head Distiller and Accredited Physicist, Michael Griffo, explains the science behind the spirit in this casual and fun Geek Session of the Elixir Cocktail Club. Having left the lab in 2014 to open award-winning Griffo Distillery in Petaluma, CA, Mike is forging new roads in the age-old art of distilling— integrating science and technology with a passion for the delicious to create truly beautiful, unique spirits. In this session Mike will focus on the whiskey making process, sharing how exactly each component of flavor is created, from grain to glass. Participants will get a special sneak-peak and taste of Griffo's forthcoming release: Stout Barreled Whiskey.
