SEE EVENT DETAILS
The First in a Series of Four: An Intensive Look at Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey - Red Breast

WHAT: The first of four informational guided tastings of the Single Pot Still Irish Whiskies from the Midleton Distillery will focus on Red Breast (with future sessions on The Spot Whiskies, Powers and Midleton), led by "The Mistress of Midleton", National Brand Ambassador Jessamine McLellan.
WHEN: Thursday, September 28th, 8pm-9:30pm (Come to the bar early, have a beer and relax until we start. Jessamine's team will be pouring tastes and talking to the crowd.)
Redbreast, the Single Pot Still that started it all. Come join Jessamine McLellan and the Elixir crew to learn about the fastest growing category in the world. Dive into the incredible history: the amazing successes and the hardships that this historic category has endured over the last two centuries and where it is going today. Redbreast has paved the way as the most well-known of this unique category of whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley.  The discussion will focus on history, production at Midleton Distillery, and of course - Tasting!

ABOUT JESSAMINE MCLELLAN
Jessamine currently serves as the National Brand Ambassador for the Powers & Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey portfolio at Pernod Ricard. Her role as National Brand Ambassador is to educate and showcase this unique portfolio of Irish Whiskeys including Redbreast, the Spot Whiskeys, Powers, and Midleton throughout the US. She currently travels the United States to collaborate with some of the most influential bars in the world in menu development and event support.

No stranger to the spirits industry, she’s also an award-winning bartender and knows her way around a wine list. Jessamine has a level two certification from The Court of Master Sommeliers. She has graduated from BAR 5-Day and completed the educational program for a Certificate in Distilling from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling out of the United Kingdom.
Jessamine’s knowledge and easygoing personality have led to repeated love from the press, and she’s been recognized by publications ranging from San Francisco Magazine, SF Weekly, Eater SF, Alcademics, and has been featured on the radio programs like “Cooking with Ryan Scott” and “The Connected Table.” Look for her cocktail instructional videos to pop up on the Powers Irish Whiskey Facebook page, or come see her speak in person at one of the many whiskey events held across the United States.
