Tennessee Whiskey, and Bourbon for that matter continues to experience double-digit growth year over year as a category and has once again found its rightful place in the hearts and glasses of the drinking public!
You are cordially invited to “Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey – The Basics and Beyond”. From the beginner to the connoisseur, this class will have something for everyone! Led by Jack Daniel’s Brand Ambassador Eric Grenier, attendees will hear stories behind the iconic brand and be guided through a comprehensive whiskey tasting including some rare offerings from the distillery. During the class, we will cover the basics. We will learn about the definitions and laws surrounding the category. We will touch on the difference between Tennessee Whiskey and Bourbon. We will walk through the steps of distillation and discuss the process known as “Sour Mash”. We will discuss and rank the importance of each of the sources that contribute flavor to our beloved spirit. The class will learn about grain bills, yeast strains, still construction and maturation and we will talk about the impact each step has on the final product. We’ll even dive into the microbiology of fermentation! Attendees will learn some history, debunk some common myths, and come away with a new found appreciation of the authentic processes utilized by the oldest registered distillery still operating in the United States. Come see for yourself why Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is the #1 selling whiskey in the world!
