WHAT: An informational guided tasting of the core line of Teeling Irish Whiskey and perhaps a surprise or two...lead by Teeling Master Distiller Alex Chasko
WHEN: #WhiskyWeek Special Event! Tuesday, October 3rd, 8pm-9pm (Come to the bar early, have a beer and relax until we start. Alex's team will be pouring tastes and talking to the crowd.)
Do you know the story of Irish Whiskey and its resurgence in the last several years? If not, come hear how this incredibly popular category is booming and how the Teeling family is at the heart of the resurgence. Never heard of Teeling? Well, you will and you should hear this story and taste through these exceptional modern expressions of what Irish Whiskey is and where it is headed.
ABOUT ALEX CHASKOAlex Chasko is the Master Distiller behind Dublin's Teeling Whiskey Company. As the first employee of Teeling, he has been involved in developing the whiskey and new distillery from the very beginning. Previously he was the Innovations Manager at the Cooley Distillery and began his career at Bridge Port Brewery, in Portland Oregon. Alex graduated from the prestigious Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland where he completed his MSc. in Brewing and Distilling. Alex is at the forefront of innovative Irish whiskey distilling, maturing and blending.

yes, you must be 21 or older
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
16th Street BART Station, walk 2 blocks WEST from there on 16th.
#22 Bus
street parking is tough on Thursdays. There's a garage on Huff St.
What can I bring into the event?
Drinks purchased at the bar. Food can be ordered in (try Caviar.com) and eaten in the bar, but please don't bring dinner into the session.
