Education 2018 - Navigating an Automated World
We are on the brink of another technological revolution. The rise of automation and new developments in AI, robotics, and biotechnology are disrupting the way we do business and even live. It is projected that the majority of today’s youth will be employed in industries and occupations that do not yet exist. As a community, we are reflecting on the skills the Bay Area will need over the next 10 to 20 years, the role schools can play, and how young people from our too-often-left-out communities can best be prepared for a rapidly changing workforce.
With these impending changes looming, our speakers will delve into what these changes might mean nationally and for the Bay Area, what skills and abilities will be required, what jobs will emerge and disappear, and what solutions promise a more equitable future.
Join us for this multi-disciplinary discussion about how educators are preparing our youth for future careers. You can expect our experts to explore how our youth and all our communities preparing for evolving economic needs.
