We are back. It is 2018 and we are continuing our acclaimed series "Educating the Black Child". Last year, we convened experts in the field like Dr. Chris Emdin, Dr. Micia Mosely, LaShaen Route Chatmon, Sheryl Davis, Cesar Cruz and many more, for solutions based conversations about the state of education during a time when the social structures that we have fought long and hard for are being wiped away. We begin this year in partnership with the Department of Children, Youth and their Families, presenting Dr. Shawn Ginwright (Prof. of Africana Studies at SFSU, Founder of Leadership Excellence), Zaretta Hammond (Author of Culturally Responsive Teaching & the Brain), and Chris Chatmon (African American Male Achievement, OUSD, Office of Cultural Equity) with perfomance from artist educators Antique Naked Soul and sounds by DJ Oracle Selassie. Location to be announce shortly. Admission is FREE!
