East Bay Community Space
The East Bay Community Space is located at the corner of Telegraph Avenue and 55th Street in North Oakland. Our main event space is entered from 55th Street and has a street address of 507 55th Street. Its main assembly area is about 1,500 square feet with a Virginia Oak dance floor, a portable stage, and a full sound and light system. It also features a mezzanine and restrooms with six gender-neutral toilet stalls, a shower and a sauna, and a craft and hobby space with sinks and counters. It can seat 80 to 100 for stage or heatrical shows (depending on stage size), and we have capacity of 150 to 200 for parties, receptions and similar events.
Upstairs, we also have 15 x 13 foot meeting / class room, which can hold 10 to 20 people depending on the type of activity.
