Earle Baum Center, a nonprofit serving people with sight loss and people who are blind in Sonoma, Napa, Lake, Mendocino, and Marin counties, announces today a community partnership with Balletto Vineyards, August 1-31. During the month of August, Balletto Vineyards will offer a matching funds opportunity. This special promotion includes 5% off every bottle of full price wine, and 5% per bottle donated to the Earle Baum Center.
In celebration of this community partnership, food and beverage expert and Earle Baum Center board member Hoby Wedler who was born blind and holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Davis, will lead a virtual "Tasting in the Dark" wine tasting via Zoom, Sunday, August 30, 4 pm. This fun and educational event will give wine lovers a unique tasting experience within the comfort of their homes. In addition, Lori Sanchietti Bianchi, wine chef and beloved Sonoma county caterer will create food pairings and add recipes, tips and cooking ideas to the virtual wine tasting.
