Oh Dutch,
Â
Nation under the sea, an orange representation of meÂ
A monarchy with at least one windmill and King Bill on the King of the Hill as it lacks a mountain, but makes up with Dykes and a trillion bikes
A fountain on the Dam, a tram, a house of Anne, a shrinking red light district for the not so strict and if you were thinking to frequent you must go now before the end will be near, but let's not digress as less is more and this not about Amsterdam gore but the story of our King'sday party glory.
So yes the the night before all towns turns to sleep the Dutch keep up a tradition of an orange edition. They dress bright as a traffic cone and roam the bars to sing praise and raise their glass in mass to the birthday of our King Alex from Doorn who was born around this date and his Queen Maxima from Argentina who joined his fate.
So political things thrown aside, Holland is one on this day of fun, yes come and join this orange ride. There will be much to appease such like Gouda Cheese, Drop so salt so black as a top hat in the shape of a cat. Chip and dip and maybe even a drip of satay made the dutch way,
So let's get our Klompen on and get ready to sing some Dutch song and if you don't know the text just emulate your man next to you and enjoy the red white blue all around in the background dancing to a weird familiar sound of nursery rhymes and beat ensuring good times will proceed with in hand a Dutch viking Mead to move your wooden feet.Â
Hope to see you all for this Orange ball with me DJ MVBÂ at the steer and in the rear to drive the wheels of steel to make you feel real Dutch with a touch of Euro or such.
Happy Kingsday
