Steve Cobby is a producer, musician and DJ from Kingston upon Hull, UK. His first paid DJ set was in 85 at The Sugar Shack in Hull. He has since gone on to play all four corners of the globe from Sydney to San Francisco, New York to Tokyo as well as performing live in Europe, Japan and the US with Fila Brazillia.
Beginnings:
His project Ashley and Jackson with Paul Wheatcroft was signed to Big Life by Darcus Beese In 1989 and they released his first commercial LP 'Solid Gold' in the same year. After they were dropped he co-founded Pork Recordings with David Brennand and helped establish the iconic label in 1990 as in-house producer and engineer. An imprint that went on to become internationally acclaimed for it's quality and integrity. The same year he formed Fila Brazillia with David McSherry. Fila went on to release 12 critically acclaimed LP's as well as over 70 remixes for artists as diverse as Radiohead, The Orb, Busta Rhymes, Black Uhuru, Simple Minds, James, A Certain Ratio and Moloko. The acclaimed compilation series Another Late Night was kickstarted by Fila's mix in 2000. They also co-produced Greg Dullis debut Twilight Singers lp and co wrote with seminal US composer Harold Budd and seminal UK legend Bill Nelson for the Three White Roses collaboration. Jason Peters is a DJ/producer and the label boss for Roam Recordings. He is a long time staple of the San Francisco dance music community where he plays regularly for some of SF's more discerning clubs and promoters such as Sunset Sound System, Housepitality, Monarch, and The Great Northern. Internationally Jason Peters has played top events such as SundaySunday, CRSSD festival, Block 9 at Glastonbury, Red Light Radio, Kater Blau, and the Alfresco festival. Upcoming for Jason is a release on Roam Recordings - Lost is Space with remixes from Prins Thomas and The Juan MacLean - scheduled for late Spring '22. His more psychedelic techno leaning project with his partner _Mr_Jenifer under the Psybody moniker is planned for release in early Summer of '22. Jason's work can also be found on labels such as Dusk, Nein, Leng, Whiskey Disco, Wicked, Rotten City, Emerald and Doreen, Logical, and many others.
